Logistics Coordinator
Job Overview
We are looking for a “Logistic Coordinator” to manage and optimize the transportation, warehousing, and delivery of EV chargers and related infrastructure equipment across Canada, including inventory planning, international shipping coordination, regulatory compliance, and supervision of overseas logistics staff. Our logistics and supply chain projects with partners in Asia are long term and require continuous coordination, compliance monitoring, and relationship management. The work location for this position will be from 103 – 8300 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 9Y7, but the individual will be required to travel occasionally within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (maximum of 100 km from the office). This is a permanent, full-time position of 35 hours/week. The language of work is English.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
Ensure adequate inventory levels of goods and materials in the warehouse.
Plan and maintain a smooth replenishment flow of goods to support business needs.
Coordinate international shipments in accordance with Canadian and international marine regulations, including the handling of hazardous materials.
Prepare and monitor shipping documents, certificates, and licenses to ensure compliance with customs clearance requirements.
Oversee the shipments prepared by the Hong Kong office staff to manage daily operations effectively.
Conduct training sessions for the Hong Kong staff focusing on international marine shipping shipment details and required documentation, when needed
Maintain regular communication with staff and factories in Hong Kong to improve supply chain efficiency, transportation, and warehousing.
Assist Hong Kong staff with reviewing documents and communicating effectively with shipping partners.
Meet with Canadian customers, contractors, or logistics companies to identify the specific project needs, deliver comprehensive logistics information and tailored solutions.
Plan, assign, and develop staff skills with clear communication among internal and external stakeholders.
Provide logistics solutions by collecting and analysing cost and transportation lead time data, and prepare reports to meet marketing project needs.
Assist with administrative tasks.
You must have the following qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education
Extensive experience in logistics coordination
Proven knowledge of international logistics, including specifically with Asian countries
Knowledge of dangerous goods handling and compliance
Knowledge of inventory control, and administration processes
Valid Ontario full G driver’s license
